Bad News for 2010: No Time, No Money

We've had to make a tough decision today - to cancel Writer's Block 2010. It's getting too late in the month and the organizers don't have the time needed to put into it (some of us don't even live in Edmonton any more). Also, since it is taking so long, a lot of writers aren't going to be able to make it since they'll be coming from out of town. This will mean that we won't be able to cover the cost of the event from the registration fees.

It was a hard call to make: get the event finalized but lose a lot of money and probably not get a very good turn out or just not do it at all and put the effort into the next year. We think the right choice was made.
