Writer's Block Version 2 Launched!

This is the first step in a major revamp of our web site. The old one did the trick but it was thrown together rather quickly. There are a few things we have planned. Some make the site more interesting to people who may not necessarily participate in the event. Others are geared to our core of writers.

The next feature to get released will be the image gallery. Rather than being just a gallery, however, we will be putting in place a voting system (something like reddit or digg) where good photos will be bumped to the top. We hope this will encourage photographers to submit some of their best shots of the event and just graf in general.

Another feature that we're tossing around is the "style lab". Here, people can post sketches or photos and have other writers critique it. Critiques will also have a voting system similar to the gallery. That means that only the constructive and positive critiques will rise to the top and any negativity is ignored.

Building features like these takes time - it may be a while yet before either are released. In the mean time, if you have any ideas, be sure to email them in.
