Differences: accounts vs. event registrations
An account is what you sign up for to become a member of this site. It does not register you for any events. To register for an event you must do so from the event page while logged in to your account.
I signed up but didn't receive a confirmation email
Most of the time, the email is marked as spam (though if you look at it's contents, it really doesn't seem to be very spammy). This usually happens with hotmail.com but it is possible on other mail providers. The first thing to try is to check your spam folder. If you can't find it there, attempting to sign in will offer the option to resend your confirmation.
Event Registration
Should I worry about using my real name?
You shouldn't but we don't blame you if you don't want to. The personal data we capture when you register for an event is used only to verify registrants at the event. As long as you can provide the details you register with when you get to the event we consider that good enough. Basically, it is up to you but it can make our job easier.
How are writers selected?
We use a complex algorithm based on the graph theory work done by Edsger Dijkstra to compute the most significant path in our network of writers. Strength of the nodes and arcs in the graph are computed through an image analysis tool we call Capture Reticulation Analysis of Photos. This tool is fed all the photos of pieces each writer has done and consults a complex fuzzy-logic network to determine their scores.
Philosophical
Do you promote vandalism?
No. This event has no ulterior motive and exists solely for graffiti writers to come and have a fun place to paint with their peers. We have full permission to paint on the walls we hold our event at which is clearly legal. If the use of spray cans implies vandalism then all drinkers who drive are drunk drivers.
